Assignment 4.1

For this assignment, I chose to explore the following productivity tools:

1. ChartGo
ChartGo allows you to input information to create charts of various types and sizes. It is easy to use and free to sign up.

This site displays the cognitive and the psychomotor domains of learning by allowing you to input the pertinent information for the charts.  ChartGo promotes the following learning experiences: Design a Presentation, Simulate or Model a Real Experience, Design Collaborative Lessons, Participate in Hands-on Workshop, Watch a Demonstration, View Images, Hear, and Read.

2.  SurveyMonkey
Survey Monkey is a very easy program to use to create your own surveys for virtually any topic.  You can also share your survey through various medias to get your survey seen.  You can then view your results for each question on your survey.

This site may be free to create a survey, however, it is not free to export this information into a document-you must upgrade and pay a membership fee for this feature.  You can only view the results of your survey on their website.

SurveyMonkey can display cognitive and affective domains of learning.  Surveys can be worded for either domain of learning, or both.  Survey Monkey promotes the following learning experiences: Design a Presentation, Simulate or Model a Real Experience, Design Collaborative Lessons, Participate in Hands-on Workshops, Watch a Demonstration, Watch Video, View Images, Hear, and Read.

3.  KwikSurveys
TypeForm is very much like SurveyMonkey.  This site also allows users to build, launch, and  your surveys.  But, unlike it's competition, Kwik allows you to create surveys and then export the results into a spreadsheet.  This site truly is free!

This site can display cognitive and affective domains of learning.  Again, surveys can be worded for either domain of learning, or both.  TypeForm promotes the following learning experiences: Design a Presentation, Simulate or Model a Real Experience, Design Collaborative Lessons, Participate in Hands-on Workshops, Watch a Demonstration, Watch Video, View Images, Hear, and Read.

4.  SpiderScribe
SpiderScibe is an interactive graphic organizer.  This site allows you to easily create organizers by incorporating text, pictures, links, maps, and calendars with an easy grad and drop method.  This site is free to sign up and create the organizers, but you must upgrade in order to use the graphic organizers you make!

This site can display all three domains of learning; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.  SpiderScribe promotes the following learning experiences: Design a Presentation, Simulate or Model a Real Experience, Design Collaborative Lessons, Participate in Hands-on Workshops, Watch a Demonstration, Watch Video, View Images, Hear, and Read.

5.  StoryBoardThat
Students can bring a story to life by using StoryBoardThat, which is a fun and interactive graphic organizer.  Students can use illustrations and characters to convey important information about a story.  Student can use preset backgrounds, scenes, characters, and objects by dragging and dropping them into their board.

This site displays all three domains of learning; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.  StoryBoardThat promotes the following learning experiences: Design a Presentation, Simulate or Model a Real Experience, Design Collaborative Lessons, Participate in Hands-on Workshops, Watch a Demonstration, Watch Video, View Images, Hear, and Read.
